Got one, at last!
These pictures were from last night before the Elder's Quorum Presidency dinner. There is usually one every month. In the past we haven't been able to stay very long, because it's around bedtime and the kids are beasts by the end! But last night they were so good! So we had a great time with everyone.
We had a lot of fun with the kids this weekend taking their pictures. WE were able to go get some enlargements to put up around the house, and luckily, they turned out great!

Ok, so I got a little crazy with the camera today. I've taken so many pictures! But it's so fun, I love it, so I have to show some here. Consider yourself warned, I have a feeling I'm going to be taking a lot of pictures now that we have our new camera!! Here they are!

Maddie has been coloring like crazy lately. This weather has been so yucky and cold this winter that one of her favorite activities is coloring. I swear, the poor girl is going to get carpal tunnel if spring doesn't come QUICK!! Anyway, here are some cute pictures of her from a couple days ago.
We got our new camera yesterday (a Canon Rebel XT) and I'm SOOO excited. I took some cute pics of the kids today, so I'll probably post a blog with them later today or tomorrow. Until then!
Oh, Max has his Dr. appointment today, and he has to get shots :(. YUCK!! Wish us luck!
After we colored we played Hide and go Seek. Here she is in action:
We tried going to the Lehi pool last Tuesday, and right when we got there and were like getting ready to step into the pool, the lifegaurds blew their whistles and they closed the pool bc someone had pooped in it. Yuck. Madilyn was SO sad and she just didn't understand. It was so hard telling her we had to leave right before we were getting in. It was like it was a mean trick! Anyway, so then we tried again to go on Friday, and just our luck, we get there, and the Leisure pool was closed that day unexpectedly. Great, now the poor girl thought we had tricked her twice :(. So sad! Well we got up on Saturday morning, called the pool twice to make sure they were really open, and finally went.
It was SO fun!! Maddie had an absolute blast. It's so different from last summer. She's so much more steady on her feet; and she was able to go down the slides and play on the toys and stuff. We stayed for probably two hours and she played the whole time. Max conked out in is his carseat after about an hour, so I just sat by him and watch Mike and Madilyn play. We had such a great time! They keep it 92 degrees in there, and the water felt like bath water. What a nice break from the cold!
Max is getting good at jumping in his jumperoo! His first tooth finally poked through about a week ago. He's growing up so quick!

These are just a few pictures from this weekend. I LOVE the weekends (as I'm sure everyone does!). I love just being able to hang out with my kids and have Mike there with us. I'm already looking forward to President's day; three day weekend!! We went up to Centerville on Sunday night for a get together with my family, and my sister made shredded pork, with black beans and all the fixings with the creamy ranch recipe all from Cafe Rio (even with tortillas they cooked on a griddle). It was SO good!! We had a great time :)
Max is getting strong!! He actually likes playing on his tummy now. He can lift his whole upper body off the floor now and just be on his hands. His eyes look totally different in these two pictures. In the top one they're really blue, and the bottom they look more gray. Weird! I wonder why they're different?? I think they look more like a mix of the two in real life.
He LOVES this chair. It's so funny, I don't know why, but he loves to sit there. I think it's because it curves around and so it kind of steadies him.

I've had a couple people ask us about our new car we bought in November. So even though we've had it for a few months now I thought I'd post some pictures of it. We've really liked having an SUV in this SNOWY winter!! And yes, that is Madilyn's head sticking up in the front seat. Don't worry, we'd never drive with her there!
So I had some more fun again with the camera and Maddie while Max was taking his morning nap. I thought I'd share some!

This is when she took a break and watched Dora. She LOVES this blankie. She takes it everywhere with her. Well, everywhere I'll let her take it. She tries to stuff it in her high chair with her, but yuck, that's not happening. I don't want oatmeal all over her AND her blankie.
Right here Maddie is pointing to her knee. That's her favortie body part to point out.

Yay! She's brushing her teeth. Thankfully she has stopped being so scared of getting her teeth brushed. Ever since she had that gum infection thing, she has screamed every time I came near her with a toothbrush.
Right here she's watching the computer monitor because our screen saver does a collage of all of our pictures. She would literally watch the screen all day if she could. She loves naming all the people in the pictures.
