Alright... I was tagged by Kim to tell some honest scrap about myself. Here's the rules:
1. List 10 honest things about yourself--and make it interesting even if you have to dig deep.
2. Pass the award on to 7 bloggers that you feel embody the spirit of Honest Scrap...
1. I have a weird pinky toenail. My whole life it's bugged me because I love to have my toenails painted, but I can't really paint that one (except sometimes I paint a fake one :). I've told Mike I look forward to the Resurrection because then I'll have 10 normal toenails! Madilyn has never liked me to cut her pinky toenail, and I just realized a couple of weeks ago, it's probably because she's worried it will look like mine! It's gone down the line for generations; my mom has it, my grandpa, my great grandpa etc. Madilyn doesn't have it but Max does. Max won't have to worry much about it though because he won't be painting his toenails!
2. I sometimes wish I had gone to nursing school. My mom was a nurse, and so for some reason I didn't want to be one. I guess I felt like I just didn't want to "copy" her or something. My favorite subject in school was biology and I really liked genetics too. But I was too nervous to ever do science or nursing as a major in college. I didn't feel smart enough.
3. If I could go anywhere in the word it would be to Switzerland. I think it is GORGEOUS!! I would love to ride one of those trains through the mountains and see the little quaint towns.
4. One of my favorite things in the word to do is to take a hot bath at night and read a book. I do it almost every night. Mike is awesome and always tells me to go take a bath while he watches the kids.
5. I'm in an aerobics class right now that I LOVE. It makes me feel energized and gets me and kids out in the mornings.
6. I would love to move to another state. Kind of just as an adventure. But I'm torn, because I really like it here too. I never really thought I would love Pleasant Grove, but I do. I could see us settling here and raising our kids here. But I also would like to get out of Utah at least for awhile. Maybe Texas? I loved Houston! SEE, I'm confused!
8. I love being home with my kids, and it's such a huge blessing! But I do sometimes wish I had a side job. Just for a few hours a week. I know it's cliche, but sometime's I forget that I'm "Emily". I kind of just feel like "Mom and wife". I used to work at the Gap and I remember young mom's coming in like once a week and working in the back, and I wondered why they liked to do that?! Now I get it! To get out of the house, AND to get the huge discount :)
9. One thing I really, really hope we're able to do one day is have a cabin. My grandpa had one when I was growing up in Salmon Idaho, and we always had so much fun there. We made so many good memories riding motorbikes through the mountains and rafting down the river. I hope one day when my kids are grown that we have a place to go away to and just spend time together playing cards and having fun.
10. I really wish I liked to run. I see so many people out running and lots of them actually enjoying it. Even when I was younger and in shape I didn't like it. Running = torture. Anyway, I envy those who can go out for a long run in the morning and feel so great and energized. I like other forms of exercise, but unfortunately none of them are as good at burning calories as RUNNING!
I TAG: whoever wants to do it!
