Christmas

Christmas day was fun.  We got up, let the kids open their Santa stuff, and then headed to church.  It was nice having Christmas on a Sunday.  When we got home we did the presents under the tree and breakfast.  Later that afternoon Mike’s family came up and we had a yummy ham dinner and Grandma and Grandpa Murray spoiled us all with presents.  So good to be with family!

Talking on the walkie talkies.  It was funny trying to teach them how to use them.  All Madi would say for the first couple days was “Come in Max, Come in…”.  And he was so confused, “I’m in Madi!?”.  Hahaha

Christmas Eve

Another Christmas come and gone.  Time goes too fast.  I’ve always been one who looks forward to the next thing, whatever it may be.  And I’m becoming more aware that time is passing before my eyes.  So I’ve really been focusing on enjoying the moments and living in the present.  My kiddos are gonna be grown up before I know it, so I gotta just relish my time with them and snuggle while they’ll let me :)

Anyway, we had a great Christmas!  It was fun having both sets of our parents here and spending the holidays with them.  The kids were SO excited for Santa and it was great seeing their faces Christmas morning! 

Christmas Eve was great.  Andrew and Jessica had us all over for a yummy dinner and great company.  I always LOVE Christmas Eve.  It always feel so exciting mixed with reverence.  A neat combo :)

After dinner we all gathered downstairs and watched a movie Ashley and Marcus had put together.  They had collected old photos from all of us and put it to music.  It was basically about my parents falling in love and all that’s come from it… A big family with the best grandkids!!

It’s been forever

I guess I’m just in a blog funk or something; I have no motivation.   But since we use this as our family journal, I have to keep it up!! 

Mike’s parents took us up to Heber to go on The North Pole Express.  It was a few days before Christmas, and snowy, and cold.  Perfect for a wintery holiday night :)  The kids LOVED it and it was just fun being together. 

The next day we went sledding at Gorgoza Park near Park City for Mike’s work party.  It was SO much fun.  The kids were a little overwhelmed, just because the cold wind in your face could take your breath away.  But once Mike and I taught them how to tuck their faces down into their coats, they were good to go :).  After sledding his company took us to NYC Pizza for lunch.  They had the whole place rented out, so it was just us there.  And they just kept bringing more and more food and desserts.  It was yummy to say the least!  It was fun to get to know some of Mike’s work friends and their wives. 

Now I gotta get caught up on Christmas and the New Year.  But first I have to head to scouts, so hopefully I’ll get on and finish when I get home :)
