~My sweet little Max~

My little baby is growing up so fast!!  He has learned a new trick...sitting up!!  For a few days he's been trying, but falling over pretty quick.  Today is the first day where he really has the hang of it;  he rarely fell over.  Poor little guy though, he has the driest cheeks ever!  I put lotion on them probably four times a day, and they still are chappy.  Hopefully once summer comes they'll get a little better!  He is such a joy and we're so happy he's a part of our family!

Okay, I had to add this picture in.  I have said many times, this kid produces an insane amount of drool.  I don't know where it comes from, or how he doesn't end up dehydrated, but at least this picture captures what I'm talking about!!  It's very annoying, to say the least.  He's constantly SOAKED!  Oh well, it's ok.  We'll still keep him :)

Maddie's new dress...

Madilyn got this new dress from her Grandma Murray!  I just wanted to post a couple pictures in it.  We think it's way cute :)

Oh and FYI, Maddie essentially refuses to look at the camera anymore.  I was lucky she stayed in one spot when I took these.  The second I pull it out she starts running.  I think she thinks it's a game.  Well, it's not a very fun one...at least for me! 

Happy Easter!!

We had a fun Easter weekend and it was nice to get some good weather!  Mike's mom came into town because Ashley (Mike's sister) is going to have a baby anytime now.  So we had Easter dinner over here with them and had a great time talking all evening. 

My kids were not interested in taking a picture together...so this is the best one we got :)

Nice Weather

So thankfully, the weather has been a bit better lately!  On Saturday Mike took the kids for a walk and to the park, and yesterday Madilyn and I got out a played for a little bit.  Not much else has been going on! 

Mike and I are going to Park City today to listen to a salesman try and get us to buy a timeshare at the Westgate Hotel.  When they called, they offered a free night and a 50 dollar gift certificate if we'd come and listen.  We told them we'd love to but we for sure aren't buying anything.  They said that 90% of people don't buy, but that's ok, they'd still love to have us come.  So we're going to go so that we can use the free night on our Anniversary coming up!

I've been Tagged!

Lindy tagged me...so I've got to post 5 random facts about myself.  I can't guarantee they'll be interesting!

1.  I'm terrified of being chased.  Even if it's just a "fun" game of tag, I can't handle it.  Mike and I will be goofing around sometimes and he'll start to chase me; oh my word, I freak out and can't move. 

2.  I've ridden a camel in the sand dunes of the Middle East (Qatar). 

3.  Mike and I randomly watched this movie last night called "Sydney White".  It was so good!  We were both surprised that we liked it so much.  It's with Amanda Bynes and it's a play off Snow White.  Anyway, it's totally funny and we recommend it :)

4.  One of my biggest pet peeves in the whole world is generalizations.

5.  The place I most hope to visit before I die is Austria.  Ever since seeing my in-laws pictures from there, I have been dying to go.  It looks like the most beautiful place!

Maddie is TWO!!

My sweet baby girl is 2!! I cannot believe how fast the time has gone.  She is such a blessing in our lives and I'm so thankful for the joy she brings us.  She's such a happy little girl, and so caring.  Madilyn just really seems to be a nurturer and is always looking out for others.  She really is my little buddy and I love how she still likes to cuddle!!  She loves to giggle and be tickled and to play outside.  I'm so happy that she is a part of our family and I love how she is developing such a sweet, and fun-loving personality.  We love you Madilyn!!

We had her B-day party at my parents house last Sunday.  She had a GREAT time and especially loved when everyone sand Happy Birthday.  She has been singing it constantly since then, except she sings "happy birthday to Maddie..." over and over.  I guess we'll have to teach her the right word is "you"!  She got a lot of great presents and has been playing with each of them like crazy.  Anyway, here are some pics!

Maddie and the Red Hat

 

Maddie LOVES this hat from my mom's house.  She puts it on every chance she gets! 

 

This is her looking for her shoe.  She always puts her hand above her eyes like that when she's looking for something, and she'll start tip-toeing around to try and find it.  Silly girl!

This is Madilyn's favorite blanket!  She likes to take it everywhere with her.  On Friday she discovered that if I tied it on her head, then she didn't have to carry it, but it'd still be with her!  What a great idea!  So this is how she wore it for probably an hour on Friday. 

I figured she's ready to go out to the Middle East and visit Grandma and Grandpa!  She'd sure fit in with her little head scarf.  Well, I guess it's yellow with pink flowers, so she wouldn't quite match, but close! 

 

 

First Real Food! (if you can call baby food that....)

We fed Max food for the first time last night.  He had sweet potatoes.  I didn't know how he was going to like it; Maddie wasn't really into it the first time we gave it to her.   I wasn't really wanting to start him on baby food yet, but I just love to see their little faces when they first taste food!  So I thought we'd give him just a little and take a few pictures. 

Well...he LOVED it.  I couldn't feed him fast enough.  He ate half the container, and that's only because I stopped!  I didn't want him to have too much the very first time he was eating. He was so funny!  He kept grabbing the spoon from my hand and trying to shove it into his mouth.  I guess I might have to start feeding him regularly now.  I'm not really looking forward to it, because it is such a MESS!   But if it's what he wants, I guess I'll do it :)

I love him so much.  He's such a cutie and brings our family so much joy!  We have such great kids.
