My sweet baby Max

He’s growing up so much!!  It’s very bittersweet.  I love the new things he says all the time.  I had to put this story here, so I remember it.

Yesterday I was babysitting my nieces and we were outside looking in the garden at a snake they had seen (kinda freaky, but the kids were having fun :).   I hear Max start to scream behind me and he’s TOTALLY getting swarmed by BEES!  It was so scary.  So I ran and grabbed him and they were so aggressive, they kept flying up at us.  But I was able to hit them away and hurry to our house.

Well, he was stung on his hand :(.  SAD!  But I’m so glad it was just one sting.  There were so many bees.  So today I was in the foyer with him at church showing him a  picture of Jesus.  I was telling him about Jesus and I showed him His hands and how they had “ouchies” on them (it was after he was Resurrected…).  Anyway, Max looked at His hands and said, “Oh no, Jesus got the bees!”.  Hehe!  Then he was pointing at his own hand where he had gotten stung.  It was so cute!  Anyway, I had to post this so I don’t forget it :)

It’s been awhile…

Thanks Ashley for the reminder!  I’ve been in a blogging funk.  I don’t know why.  Maybe because it’s so much easier to just upload pictures to Facebook.  But I’m determined to try and keep our blog updated, because I kind of see it as our family journal.

Anyway, we’ve just been busy with Maddie’s school, dance, and enjoying the nice weather.  Tomorrow night we’re going up to the Bountiful Temple for a Sealing session with my parents and my siblings and their spouses.  It’s going to be so nice.  My parents wanted us to have a Temple night and dinner at their house before they move to Hong Kong.   I’m really looking forward to it.  And thanks Ashley and Brian for watching our kids so we can go! :)

A couple of weekends ago my sisters and Mom and I all went down to St. George for a girls weekend.  It was SO SO fun.  We’re definitely going to have to make it a tradition!!  We put both the mattresses in the same room and all slept in there together.  So there was lots of talking late into the night!  It was great.  We also got Massages and went to Tuachan and saw Aida.  Such a fun weekend!

This is what the kids did while I was gone.  Laid on the ground and just missed me.  Haha, yeah right :)

Hugging Max goodbye. When we left, she was pretty nervous, and she said “bye house.  I guess I’ll see you later”.  She sounded so sad when she said it.  But luckily she has LOVED school and her teachers Miss Nettie and Miss Kellie.

Playing in the sand.  It was so nice, there was hardly anyone there.  I admit, I had just as much fun as she did playing in the sand.

Do you like the fish carcass in the background?  I think it adds a nice touch.

Dancing Queen

I know I’ve said it a lot before, but Maddie really loves to dance.   The other day my mother-in-law was watching the kids and while Max was napping she put on some music.  She said that Maddie literally danced like crazy for an hour and a half.  Haha; she’s got ENERGY!  Anyway, here are some of the pictures she took :)
