Madi’s company had their competition up in Ogden today, and they did so good!!! Madi LOVED it all and had a great time. She kept asking when she could go up on the stage and dance, because she just didn’t want to wait. They were the only ones in their age group, so they took first place! Haha :). The awards ceremony wasn’t until 4 in the afternoon (Madi went on stage around 10), so we decided not to wait around for it. She’s excited to get her trophy at class next time!

For the Grandparents
I know, I post way too many videos of Madi dancing and doing her “Cowboy Sweetheart” dance. But our parents are always telling us how much they love seeing videos, so I’m posting anyway :). Her company’s competition is coming up on the 13th in Ogden, so during class they had us come in a watch the girls to give them an audience.

Finally got the pictures off my camera…
So here they are!
We babysat our neighbor Jackson for the weekend while his parents were away. The kids had lots of fun!
Max and Tyson having a random hugging-fest. They’re cute.
I know this picture is totally blurry, but it was so sweet!
A couple weeks ago we went to Jump on It for FHE with the Stottle’s. I guess these were like the only pictures I got. Well, lets be honest, someone took some pictures of me mid-jump; but I’d poke my own eyes out before I’d post those. Haha
Max is getting a little too brave on the trampolines! Kinda gives me a heart attack sometimes. I swear, this kid has no fear!
We watched my nieces a few weeks ago, and Madi and Max had SO much fun with them. Katelyn is always so sweet to Madi, and Madi just looks up to her (and all her cousins!) so much. She always tries to act so grown up around her. It’s funny, this is a conversation I overheard between them:
Madi: “I like your shirt, Kate. Where did you get it?”
Kate: “Thanks, it’s from Old Navy. I like yours, where did you get it?”
Madi: “Thanks, my mom got it at Target”.
Haha, they’re so cute. And here’s cute Sadie scrunching up her nose. I love this girl! She talks so good! She’s growing up too fast.
Max is getting so good at smiling for the camera now! Yay!
This is before church today! We got him a new tie yesterday (I know, it’s way too long. Haha, oh well, I guess he can just have it for years to come!). He looked so handsome and he was excited to wear a tie like Dad. And look, he’s standing there so good, smiling for the camera!
Then he decided he had to bust out some cool moves! Like I tell him all the time, he is my favorite little boy in the whole world!
Not much else is going on. Mike and I went out on a date last night and saw “When in Rome”. Totally recommend it! It was so funny and cute. Mike even liked it. Then we came home and played Wii with our friends. It’s been a fun weekend!
Snow days!
These pictures are from the first time we took the kids out in the snow, so they’re probably from like 6 weeks ago. But I finally got them off the camera.
Madi, so excited!
Max, so mad. I’m pretty sure he has the best pouty face around. He did not like being bundled up.
This picture just makes me laugh. Pure joy and pure anger. Haha
Then things started to turn around…
Yep, thankfully he got happy!
These next ones were taken on a snowy Saturday while Max took his nap. Madi had fun playing outside with Mike.
I love these pictures! She was having so much fun throwing the snow up in the air and letting it fall on her.
Cute bum :)
She just looked like the cutest little snow bunny walking around. I love my baby girl.

Costco Samples
I was trying to get the kids out the door today to go to Costco. Neither of them wanted to go and so to hurry them out the door I said, “let’s go to Costco and I’ll let you get some samples there.” Well they hurried right up and jumped into the car. While we were there, we got the stuff we needed, had some samples, and then came home.
Right when we walked in Madi said, “WAIT, we never got the samples!!”. She was SO sad. I kept telling her that we had, in fact, had the samples. Then she looked down at her feet and wiggled her toes and said, “No, we forgot the samples. You said we would get some samples”. Hehe, she thought the whole time that I meant sandals! After I explained the difference she was fine with it, and then a minute later she laughed and said, “Oh yeah! They’re called flip flops, not samples”. I was going to remind her that they are also sandals, but she was so excited she had made that discovery, I let it be.

What’s been going on…
Nothing much new around here. Pretty much holed up in the house all day because it’s too cold to play outside :). But we’ve been having fun. This winter has been so much better than last winter, because the kids really play together so good! They’ve played (and this is what the kids actually call it..), Store, Restaurant, Salon, Superheroes, Trains, and more. It’s nice to hear them playing in Madi’s room and getting a long and having fun.
Dancing. I loved how they were interlocking their fingers.
Salon. Max getting his hair done. He actually loves playing this game too, he’ll cover himself and sit there waiting for her to come “cut” his hair.
I babysit my nephew Tyson every Thursday while Ashley teaches dance. He’s a cutie :)
Madi’s been wanting me to straighten her hair a lot lately. When it’s straight it gets long! And she loves to turn her head and let her hair fly around. This first picture was the one I took before she noticed I had the camera out.
This was after she noticed :).
Our friends Matt and Kiley came over on New Years Eve and we had fun playing Sorry, the Wii, and eating too many snacks. It was a way fun night! Thanks Stottle’s :) I hardly got any pictures, but here’s me and Kiley…
And here’s Matt in action.

Dramatic, maybe?
Madi makes me laugh everyday! I love her. Today she found a little blister on her big toe, and since then she’s had it wrapped up like this:
Haha! A little overkill perhaps? She’s so funny!
And just because, here’s Max eating a cookie in bed (it was his lucky night :) And yes, he does have two shirts on. I worry about him getting cold at night! He doesn’t stay covered up and it’s freezing! So, whatever works.
The kids played in the snow today for the first time this year. Mike took them out after he got home. They had lots of fun!! The pictures are on my other camera though, so I’ll have to post on that later. GOODNIGHT!!

Christmas Time
We had such a GREAT Christmas this year! It was so fun having Madi so excited about everything, and really understand it all.
Going out the door to the Nutcracker. She was SO excited to see it! She kept reminding Max the whole day that it was “just the girls”.
Madi with Aunt Ashley at the show
This was a couple days before Christmas after I finally put all the presents under the tree.
They had fun looking around and seeing who’s was who’s.
My cute boy all dressed up for church. I’m glad, he’s getting a little better at smiling for the camera!
Madi in her Christmas dress
This was at my brother’s house. We had our Christmas Eve party there. He bought, and remodeled, my parents old house a few years ago. So it was fun to have Christmas Eve in the house I grew up in :). Ashley decorated SO pretty. We used all her nice china and stuff. It’s hard to even see all the little details in this picture, but it was just gorgeous.
The kids table. My kids were excited to use pretty goblets.
We had a great dance party with some fun Christmas music. Here’s Max busting out some awesome moves, with his cousins Olivia and Sadie.
Madi dancing with her cousin Kevin
Talking to Grandma and Grandpa in Hong Kong with Skype.
I LOVE this house. I know it’s Marcus and Ashley’s place now…but it’s just feels like HOME.
Madi loved her wand and Barbie from Courtney
And Max loves his Moonsand from Nate. I love little Sadie’s face in this one! She’s such a cutie.
This was right after Santa stopped by.
So excited to go downstairs and see!!
Max LOVED his GeoTrax and probably sat there and ran it for 45 straight.
Madi in her beloved Cinderella dress. It was the only thing she asked for from Santa. She’s lived in it since that morning.
Madi’s dance session
I had to add some of these pictures from the day after Christmas. She was dancing to the music in Enchanted. I’m so glad I found this dress. It’s really is such a pretty princess dress! Here’s the conversation we had on this day:
Me: “Madi, you’re acting like such a pretty princess!”
Madi: “Mom, I’m not acting. I am a princess”.
HAHA!! She said it so seriously, like she was highly offended that I suggested she was “acting”. Mike was laughing. He said it really is like she lives in an alternate universe. Haha! After that I explained to her how Heavenly Father is a King, and because she is His daughter, she REALLY is a princess. I told her how all the little girls in the whole world were really princesses, because they’re all daughters of a King. And she was so excited. She was jumping up and down yelling “YIPPEE! I’m a real life Princess!”.
I love my kids. How did I get so blessed? What a great Christmas we had! Hope everyone else had great Christmases too!
