Camping at Bridger Lake!

We had a great time last week camping with my family up near the WY/UT border at Bridger Lake.  It's my family's favorite campsite and is just gorgeous!  My family brings up four-wheelers and motorcycles, along with a little boat to go fish on the lake.

Mike and I were able to take a few long rides alone and on one of the trails we ran into (well not literally ran into, it was probably 50 feet away) and HUGE moose and a big Elk.  All I've ever heard is how moose are so mean, and so I was freaked out.  I might as well have seen a lion or something.  I just didn't want it to come and attack us.

We rented a tent trailer which worked out so nice!  There was tons of room and for the most part our kids slept great in it!  Maddie had so much fun playing with all of her cousins and going on some four-wheeler rides.  I wasn't great at taking pictures though, so I don't have any of her on a ride.  Bummer!  Oh well, maybe next year :)

Max loved this swing that we hung from the trees.

I love this cute little hat.  It's my nieces, Livvy's, and Maddie looked so cute in it.  I had to get some pictures!

Right before we had to pack up and leave, my dad and my brother took Gracie and Maddie on a little boat ride.  They were a little nervous.  Haha, cute girls!

Oh, and here was our fun trailer!

Playing outside . . .

The kids were pretty stir crazy this Sunday evening, so we ended up just taking them outside to play (and get some cute pics of them :).

Max has his finger in his ear like this A LOT.  He must be fascinated with it!

Eating some grass.  Mmmm!

IMG_6154

He hates the feel of the grass.  He looks funny when he crawls because he'll try not to have his knees touch the ground.

Maddie is obsessed with me cleaning her feet if they get dirty.  Right here she's checking them to see if I need to grab the wipes :).

New Furniture!

Yay, I'm so excited! We got new couches yesterday and today I went out and got a new table and plant and some cute pillows to match.  We haven't ever had a love-seat, and I'm so excited about it!  Haha, it's kind of ridiculous, but I love it.  Anyway, I just wanted to post a few pics. (BTW, the flash kind of makes everything look a little red.  They're really more of a dark Chocolate brown color).

I LOVE these pillows.  I swear, Target is my favorite store on earth.

Funny Stuff

My kids crack me up.  Today Max ate dirt for the first time, much to my surprise.  The door was cracked open, and given that he bee-lines it to the door to try and get outside, he got there fast.  I was showing my friend Jessica our new furniture when I found him out there with a handful of dirt.  I, of course, had to grab the camera before washing it off.  Jessica was nice enough to hold him so I could get a cute picture of his first time eating dirt :)

Earlier today I came up stairs to flat-iron my hair.  Maddie and Max were downstairs watching Mickey.  I hear Max start to cry so I hurry down there and this is what I found . . .

I think he was highly insulted that I was taking pictures before rescuing him from Maddie :).  I had just finished doing her hair, and so when I went up stairs she went to town on Max.  He was SOAKING wet.   He has the funniest "mad" face.  Love it!

Back from CA!

** I apologize in advance for the forever long post.  I guess we had a lot to catch up on!  Anyway, be prepared, it's long.

We just got back yesterday from a 10 day vacation with Mike's family.   We visited his Grandparents who moved from Napa to Green Valley and built a GORGEOUS home!  We had such a great time staying there!  Maddie loved getting to know her Great Grandparents and it was fun to get away.  I was bummed that we weren't able to take our SLR camera (just too big and bulky) because this house was amazing and it would have been fun to get some good pictures.

Here we are at the airport.  Madilyn's excited to go on the plane!  Can you tell?

When we got there Maddie ran right out to the putting green.  Mike's family are big time golfers and so his grandma and bought Maddie her own little set.  It was so cute!  I loved seeing her play around on the green trying to putt it in.

Mike and I taking Maddie for a ride in one of their golf carts.  Madilyn loved the golf cart, once she got used to it.  The first time her Grandma Murray tried to take her on it, she wasn't too thrilled.  But she got used to it :)  Lots of rides on the golf cart!

This is the day we took the kids swimming at the country club.  They had so much fun.  And it was nice to get in the pool.  The first couple of days we were there were SO HOT.

We took a ferry ride through the bay from Vallejo to Fisherman's Wharf.  It was so fun to be in the bay seeing all the pretty scenery!  It was so windy if you stepped onto the deck.  Maddie could hardly walk.  I guess we got going pretty fast!

After we drove through San Francisco we went to Saulsalito and had lunch at a restaurant on the water.  It was so gorgeous there.  Unfortunately, our kids had HAD it.  They were wiped out after no naps and were so cranky (so were we).  So I wish I had been able to relax and enjoy it more.  Because it was so beautiful!

Bathtime!

We went on a tour at the Jelly Belly factory.  It was pretty fun, but, oh my word, the place was packed!  We had to wait for a 1/2 hour for our tour and then the tour was 40 mintues.  The kids lasted for about the first 45 minutes, and then there were more meltdowns.

Okay, so I just have to post some pictures of this house.  It was so fun to stay in!  They had a theater room with a big projector and screen.  So we watched lots of movies (and Maddie got a kick out of a 6 foot tall Elmo :).  They had a cabana outside with a fireplace and tv with a HUGE grill!  It was so pretty!  Deer would come into their backyard almost daily.  There was usually a mom and some babies.  Some of the guys were trying to herd them to one area of the backyard.  Haha, that was a funny site :)

This is in the Master bath and it's the coolest shower I've ever seen!  There's no door, so you just walk in and there's 5 different faucets spraying water at you.  One from the ceiling, one normal one, two that shoot sideways at you, and then another one from the other side of the shower.  Ahhh, heaven!  Oh, and the floor of the whole bathroom is heated too.  So cozy :)

Oh, and I almost forgot, this was the last day we were there.  We took a BART train into the city and went under the bay in a tunnel.  Pretty cool!

This is the face Max pulls all the time now.  He scruntches up his nose.  So cute.
