After church we decided to go up the American Fork canyon and take some pictures before all the leaves fall off. We were in desperate need of a new picture of our kids together, so we dressed them up, and headed up there. We found a great little trail that went back into the woods a bit, and had a lot of fun! There were a few times we about had a heart attack, because there was a big ledge with a river at the bottom. And Maddie just didn't quite understand that she shouldn't be getting close! Thankfully, the kids were safe, and we got some good pictures. (I apologize in advance for how many pictures I'm about to post. I just couldn't choose!).

Cornbellys
We had so much fun at Cornbellys last night (or "jellies" as Madilyn says :). She loved the jumping pillow and the sandbox of corn. We thought it would be fun to do the corn maze. Wow, it took forever. And about a 1/3 of the way through, we were just following one of the corn cops who was showing us the way out. I think we would have been lost forever if it weren't for him.
Poor Maddie was walking so slow by the end. I kept asking if she wanted us to hold her, but she kept going. I kept telling Mike, that I thought the corn maze would be way fun if you were young and dating. That way you could just hold hands and flirt the whole way through :). But with young kids? Not so much. But I'm still glad we did it, because we've never been in one!
Anyway, here's some pictures!

Party!
We had so much fun with Max's b-day party last night! Grandma and Grandpa Nield came and Mike's sister Ashley, her hubby Brian, and their little boy Tyson came. The kids loved having all the family around!
My dad and Max
My mom and Maddie
Ashley and Tyson. It was fun to see them. We haven't seen them for awhile because we've kept getting sick!
I can't believe Madilyn is smiling for a family picture. It's a miracle! Too bad Max isn't looking :)
Checking out his presents
This is the face he had for much of the evening. I think he was wondering what on earth was going on.

This is his present from Grandma and Grandpa Murray. He's waving at them and saying THANKS! (The present got kinda cut off, but it's a cute little riding toy :)
Loving the balloons.
His face cracks me up here! I wonder what is going on in his head. He's looking at me like, "Are you crazy?! You're gonna put that in front of me?"
First bite. MMMMM.
Great eyes!
Sorry about the mouthful of cake, but Maddie was smiling SO big! I guess she was very happy about all that sugar.
So we put Max down to bed probably an hour after he ate his cake. I felt SO bad! He must have had a major sugar rush, because he seriously laid in bed for 1 1/2 hours just talking and talking. I went in there a few times, and I'd cuddle him and stuff, and when I walked out he'd still be talking. I'm just glad he finally went to sleep! Now he's pooped today :). Anyway, we had a great time. And since today is his real birthday, Happy Birthday Max!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Birthday Max!
Max's birthday isn't actually until tomorrow, but we're celebrating his birthday today because it was the day our family could come and party with us. So I thought I would post today about my awesome little boy!
Last year, I thought I was just going in for my 37 week appointment. But due to high blood pressure, my Dr sent me to the hospital right away to be induced. The Dr. said Max's head was way low in my pelvis and I was dilated to a 3; so it should be a quick labor! I got over to the hospital, and about an hour later my Dr. came in to break my water. Right away he said, "This baby just turned! I check an hour ago and he was engaged in the pelvis, and now he bum-first breech!".
At that point, I started BAWLING. I was so terrified of a c-section and was so sad I wasn't going to have the labor I was hoping for. Well a few hours later I was rolled into the operating room and our Max was born! It ended up being a great experience, and I LOVED the c-section. Compared to Maddie's delivery, it was heaven! Anyway, I just had so much fun holding him and feeding him while he was so brand new (I wasn't able to hold Maddie until the night after she was born).
I cannot believe it's been a year. It's kind of bittersweet for me. I'm sad that he's not a baby anymore, and it really does go too fast (I know I say that all the time, but it does!). However, he is just such a fun little kid and I love seeing him learn new things. Right now his favorite thing is when I sing the "Stinky, stinky, poopies" song when I'm changing his diaper. He just laughs and laughs!
Anyway, like I said, we're having his party tonight, so hopefully I'll have some pictures of it tomorrow! We love you so much Max and we're so happy to have you in our family. You're a good boy and I'm so glad Madilyn has you for a little brother!

Yay!
I finally figured out how to do a festive new background! It actually wasn't hard at all. No wonder so many people have super cute backgrounds :). Anyway, I'm excited.

We were bored...
....So I flat-ironed Maddie's hair. And I LOVED it! It was weird though, she looked like a different child! She's always had really curly hair, and I love her curly hair, but I've wanted to see it straight too. So it's nice, because now I know we can have it curly or straight! Anyway, we had a fun photo shoot to show off her new hair :)
(I posted a lot of pictures because I couldn't decide which I liked best :)
